The flag of Kintland is a green Scandinavian cross over a white banner. This originally represents Kintlands green Scandinavian nature and vast lakes. The white represents the mass snowfall every winter. And the cross represents the orthodox Christianity of Kintland, and the unity of the country and its people meeting each other in agreement at a crossing point. This version of the flag is one of two, the one above is the flag of the people of Kintland and the country itself, the second version is below, the flag with a hammer and sickle at the center of the cross for the communist socialist ecconomy and government of the country.

The island of Kintland through most of European history was either in Anarchism or ruled by Russians, Prussians, or Vikings. Until Lenin's revolution, when Kintland was forcefully sucked into the USSR, and until WWII, when the Soviet forces were weakened by Nazi Germany, the invasion of Finland, and the invasion of the Baltic states and eastern Europe, Kintland saw its chance, the people started to revolt against the Soviet control, the people forced all Soviets off the island in a matter of months, Stalin was furious. But the people were too, they built weapons and an army out of what they had. The Soviet army could not take back the island, and they gave up. In 1945, The peoples republic of South Finland/Kintland was recognized as a country by the UN and the world. A communist government was established in 1952. The flag of the republic is below.

The Peoples Republic of South Finland lasted from 1952 up until 1969 and 1970, because of a new head of secretary for the communist party, Alexovski Parandenkov. He raised working hours, cut salary's, appressed free speech even more then it already was, mismanaged funds of the country, worsened tensions with the new leaders of the USSR and the US, grew the military, stopped planed infrastructure development, arrested 4 times the amount of people as previous for speaking out against him and the government, and stopped the import of needed resources vital to the survival of the Kintlandian citizens in need. The people had enough, they started mass rioting in the streets of the then capital Nivian, starting fires, turning cars over, breaking into places, ruining monuments, destroying parks, mass protesting, and eventually growing enough to overthrow the communist party and Alexovski himself. The main reason the people succeeded was because most of the police and military joined the people, in a process of cooing the government. This happened in 1969. The country ran with no government for a period through the rest of 1969 into early 1971, when the new government was finished being planned by the leaders of the revolution. And on the 9th of February, 1971, the new Democratic, Communist, Socialist, Republic of Kintland was established and took control of the country. With the new capital being chosen as the city of Nalviki in the north of the country. 

The new government received a lot of help gift money from the Eastern and Western block to try and sway to their side, Kintland immediately took advantage of this and built up the country's infrastructure, with organizing all industries, having citizens from building company's build up the country in mass while importing materials of quality and manufacturing them, while also hiring foreign contractors to come and build up the country. In only 3 years Kintland was back in working order, with 8x the amount of manufacturing power, and money coming into the country. With money people and immigrants came into the country in mass numbers. people from all over the globe came to work and live in Kintland. And in 1974, Kintland was made a member of the United Nations and Kintland Joined NATO. Because of Kintlands decision to join the west, Moscow became hostile to the Kintlandian government. flow of money stopped from the east. And Kintland became an enemy to the USSR and the Warsaw Pact. Kintland started to build its millitary up in great numbers. and 3 NATO millitary bases were opened on the east and southern coasts. Towards the USSR. Tensions in that water became high, a man was even killed for swiming too far off the cost of Roselet in the summer of 1979. 

Kintland received a lot of money from the US to try and persuade the Kintlandian government into turning capitalist. It didnt work. But plenty of trade and tourism came from western countries. A lot was exported to western countries. Kintland has more then 1 factory for the same product unlike other communist countries. There must always be at least 2, because what if one burns down? What if one is going through repairs? What if one gets too old and has to be rebuilt? And most importantly so Kintland can have extra resources after using one of the factory's for products for the country, then export the extra products. The extra products are sold for dollars to western country's, now to the world. All of this together brought billions of dollars into Kintland, Kintland invests the money into the country for the better, the people get happier, and more people come and be happy, those people work more jobs for the country, the country gets richer, and more populated. And this cycle is still happening today! And now Kintland know what mistakes not to make, and what to invest in as a communist country so that Kintland doesn't collapse like the USSR did. Kintlands foreigner policies have been  some of the best any country has ever implemented, and also the benefits the people of Kintland get for living there. 

It wasn't until 1986 when Gorbachev came to power in the USSR, Gorbachev wanted reform in his country, he decided to negotiate with the Kintlandian government, and start a new with Kintland, trade began between Kintland and the entire eastern block, and now money was coming not just from the west, but also from the east. Kintland would export vital things to the USSR and east like cars, clothes, western things, electronics, chemicals, parts, food, and other goods, and in return, Rubbles, building materials, man power, and other goods. The same year, air travel opened back up between Kintland and the eastern block, as well as sea travel, tourism, and even ferry transport between Kintlands south shore to Estonia, and Kintlands east shore to Leningrad (St Petersburg). Kintland was a major role in de-escalating the cold war acting as a neutral warehouse between blocks. Kintland did not keep many of its rubbles when received, instead just exchange them instantly for more goods and services from the east. And after each eastern country broke away, and the USSR collapsed, A swarm of people from the east visited and moved to Kintland. 

In the 1990s, Kintlands economy kept on its normal path, life was good. In the early 90s, from 1992 through 1995, Kintland grew its relations with former Soviet countries, by importing and exporting to them. Especially Estonia. In 1993 A ferry shuttle opened from Tallinn to Roselet. 

And in 1995, after a victory elect of the Progressive political party, reforms came; to prepare for Kintland's 21st century. A new mobile phone network, new electrified railway track, new electronics designs to be manufactured, new car models, but most importantly, the recondition and  legalization of same sex couples and marriage. Being the first country in the world to do so in 1995. Kintlands government never cracked down on, punished, or cared about same sex couples they just now considered them and legalized all marriage. And the government made it so that this law could not be revoked or removed.  New clean air factory's and better pay for all workers also came. 

In the 2000s, the government took major steps to modernize the country. After the 9/11 2001 attacks, Kintland introduced stricter TSA and boarder control, and modernizing Kintlands 2 public international airports. Also, because of 2 Nalviki skyscrapers who had a similar design and building structure to the twin towers, even being inspired by them, where shut down and improved from the inside to make sure another attack like that couldn't happen to them. 

In 2009 Kintland agreed by European standards to stop broadcasting on analogue tv channels, switching to digital tv channels and also to stop printing Kintlandian movies on VHS tapes, however VHS tapes and Cassette technology is still being made and used in Kintland today of 2025 as well as modern methods.
